Location: Gateshead
Contract: Full-time, starting after February half-term until July
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support for a pupil in a primary school in Gateshead. This role involves working closely with a child on a personalised timetable, adapting to their individual needs on a daily basis.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to a pupil on a personalised timetable.
  • Assisting with academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning strategies.
  • Implementing individual support plans and promoting independence.
  • Creating a calm and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

✔️ Experience working with children with additional needs (e.g., SEN, SEMH, ASD).
✔️ A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
✔️ Ability to work flexibly within a structured but adaptable timetable.
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
