Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support for a pupil in a primary school in Gateshead. This role involves working closely with a child on a personalised timetable, adapting to their individual needs on a daily basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to a pupil on a personalised timetable.
- Assisting with academic, social, and emotional development.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning strategies.
- Implementing individual support plans and promoting independence.
- Creating a calm and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
✔️ Experience working with children with additional needs (e.g., SEN, SEMH, ASD).
✔️ A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
✔️ Ability to work flexibly within a structured but adaptable timetable.
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
