Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Assistant to join a primary school team and provide individualized support to a pupil with additional needs.

About the Role:

This rewarding role involves working closely with a child who requires tailored support to thrive in their learning environment. You will play a crucial role in helping them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEN, adapting approaches to meet their specific needs.
  • Assisting with classroom activities, ensuring the pupil is engaged and included.
  • Supporting the pupil’s emotional well-being and fostering their confidence.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records to support learning plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a SEN or support role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to meeting individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An enhanced DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with this if required).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
