Teaching Personnel are working with a Pupils Referral Unit (PRU), located in the Welsh Capital, to source a full time Behaviour Specialist to join their team of educators. This type of education is to offer a fresh start so pupils can return to mainstream school or to support them with their next steps in life after school, whether that be going to college or getting a job.
To be considered for this role, you must have a passion for working with pupils with challenging behaviour and be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment. The pupils would hugely benefit from an educator who can impact their attitude towards school in a positive manner and who is able to successfully build an engaging and motivating working environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Work closely with pupils in 1:1 and small group sessions, promoting independence and self confidence amongst pupils.
- Embody the schools core aims, supporting learners to do the same, preparing them for life after school.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support students’ social and emotional development.
The ideal candidate will:

- Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
- Be able to commute to Cardiff or relocate.
- Have completed safeguarding training or be willing to complete.
- Provide 2 recent references.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30-15:30
Pay: From £89.38 per day
Start Date: ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
