Young Person Mentor – Sport & Wellbeing Focus
Location: Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan
Pay: £13.75 per hour / £89.83 per day (paid weekly)

The Role
Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist school in Penarth that supports students aged 3–19 with a range of additional learning needs (ALN). The school uses sport and team-building activities to help develop communication, independence, and social skills.
Your Responsibilities

Lead and support students in sports and team-building activities
-
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
-
Encourage independence and life skills development
-
Work closely with trained staff in a nurturing, inclusive setting

Support students with both behavioural and emotional needs
What We’re Looking For
-
A background or interest in sport, fitness, or youth mentoring
-
A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach
-
Willingness to learn and grow within a special education environment
-
Commitment to working full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)

Experience with ALN is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
