The School and Job:
Teaching Personnel have a long-standing relationship with schools in Northampton who cater for young people between the ages of 4-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You could be working with students that have Autism (ASC) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
You will be working as a Teaching Assistant under the instruction of a class Teacher and alongisde other support staff. You will be responsible for supporting termly topics across classes of 4-8 students and may be asked to support young people on a 1:1 basis.
The most important trait that prospective applicants should have is an engaging personality and a willingness to help. Applicants with a good attitude to work and the ability to be pro-active will thrive in this SEN school.
Minimum Requirements:
- SEN experience with children or adults, we will also consider applicants with personal experience.
- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence
- Punctual and reliable
- Enjoys a challenge
Working hours:
Working hours are 08:30 - 3:40 but you can be flexible with the days you work. These working hours will suit university students, those looking to return to work after maternity or those with part time availability.
We also have a need for full time teaching assistants at this school so please get in touch if this suits you better.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
