Job Title: Teaching Assistant (1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD)

Location: Liverpool, L7

About the Role: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with ADHD at a vibrant primary school in central Liverpool. This rewarding role involves working closely with the pupil to enhance their learning experience, foster their social development, and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to the pupil, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Implement strategies to help the pupil manage their ADHD and stay focused in the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Monitor the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
  • Encourage the pupil's social interaction and participation in school activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD or similar needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
