Are you a science enthusiast with a passion for nurturing young minds? We are seeking a dynamic Academic Mentor in Science to join our team and make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys. Whilst bringing learning to life while leaving no-one behind.
Location: Darwen, Lancashire.
Start date: Monday 6th January 2024
School: Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ Secondary school.
Why This Role?
As an Academic Mentor, you will:
✅ Inspire students to explore the wonders of biology, chemistry, and physics.
✅ Provide personalised support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
✅ Collaborate with teachers to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Mentor students in KS3 to KS5, breaking down complex scientific concepts into engaging and understandable lessons.
✅ Facilitate targeted intervention sessions tailored to meet individual student needs.
✅ Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ A genuine passion for science and a desire to make a difference in students' lives.
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
✅ A degree in a relevant science field or significant experience in teaching or tutoring.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
