Support role working 1-1 with Primary Schools in Darlington
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Darlington looking for someone who is experienced working with SEMH children (Social, Emotional, Mental, Health).
The role will require you to work alongside a class teacher to support with learning and engagement, you may also be expected to work 1:1 with children across multiple year groups (KS1 and KS2).
If you have a passion for working with children or a background in challenging behaviours. and you can reliably commute to Blyth and surrounding areas, we would love to hear from you!
This role is full time, commencing ASAP through until the Easter holidays, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right educator.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content.
- Work 1:1 with children with SEN.
- Be confident in responding to challenging behaviours
- Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students.
- Have a passion for assisting students.
- Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom.
- Promote and encourage independence and personal development.
Candidates that have been successful within this setting have had some experience in any of the following:
- Scouts Leadership
- Sports Coaching
- Challenging Behaviour Settings
- Health and Social Care Settings
- 1:1 Support
- SEN TA
- Educational Settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
