Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Darlington)
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Darlington. This role is focused on working with Key Stage 2 (KS2) students, where you’ll make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Work with small groups or individual students, providing tailored assistance
- Help students with their learning, particularly in areas like literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe learning space
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
