1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Reading
Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil in a school in the Reading area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s education and development.
The Role:
Location: Reading and surrounding areas
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time and part-time roles available
Salary: Competitive, paid weekly
Your Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they can engage fully in learning
- Assisting with individual learning plans and classroom activities
- Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience working with children with SEND or additional needs (preferred but not essential)
✔ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
✔ Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
✔ A Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or childcare (desirable but not required)
✔ An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
