Job Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant 

Contract Type: Temporary to Perm

Location: Bath

Are you an outstanding Teaching Assistant with high amounts of experience with children who have SEND?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated full time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Bath. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will support a team of experienced teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons and providing targeted intervention sessions to one child within the school. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and able to establish positive relationships with both pupils and colleagues.

What you will need:
*Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification
*Experience with children who have additional needs.
*Experience within a UK Secondary School
* Enhanced child DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
*The ability to inspire children.

Daily Responsibilities:

*Individual Support: Work on a 1:1 to provide personalised support in and outside of the classroom.

*Adapt Learning Materials: Modify learning resources to fit the student's individual needs and learning style.

*Progress Monitoring: Track the student's progress, set goals, and report back to teachers and parents on achievements and areas needing improvement.

*Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining positive behaviour and implementing behaviour management plans where needed.

*Encouragement and Motivation: Keep the student motivated and build their confidence through positive reinforcement and encouragement.

*Assisting with Daily Activities: Help with day-to-day classroom activities, including facilitating their participation in group work.

*Providing Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to help the student grow academically and personally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
