1:1 Core Subjects Tutor
Location: Retford

About Us:
We specialise in offering tailored, one-on-one tutoring sessions in core subjects to support students at all levels. We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic 1:1 Core Subjects Tutor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, one-on-one tutoring sessions in core subjects, including English, Mathematics, and Science.

  • Tailor lesson plans to meet the specific academic needs and learning styles of each student.

  • Help students prepare for exams, improve their grades, and develop key skills in their subjects.

  • Monitor students' progress and adjust tutoring methods to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that builds student confidence and academic motivation.

  • Provide feedback and support to help students reach their full academic potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant tutoring qualifications.

  • Proven experience teaching or tutoring core subjects (English, Maths, Science) at primary or secondary level.

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to tailor teaching approaches to individual needs.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
