Youth Worker Needed in Sunderland
Are you a passionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people? Join our vibrant secondary school community in Sunderland as a Youth Worker. We are hiring for a full-time position starting February 2025 and continuing until the end of the academic year.
Our school is committed to empowering students to unlock their full potential and become confident, well-rounded individuals. Known for its inclusive environment, outstanding academic programs, and focus on personal growth, we strive to nurture the development of every student. As a Youth Worker, you will be a key part of this mission, supporting students' emotional, social, and personal development while fostering strong connections within the school community.
In this role, you will work closely with students aged 11-16 to inspire, guide, and support them in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organising and delivering engaging activities that promote positive youth development.
- Providing mentoring and pastoral support to individual students or small groups.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages a sense of belonging.

- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering students.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
