Job description

A primary school in the BL3 area is currently looking to recruit for a talented and dedicated Year 6 Teacher from April 2025. This school works hard to give their pupils access to a wide-ranging curriculum and encourages them to take active interest in enrichment activities, both inside and outside of the classroom. They place great emphasis on enriching their local community and are keen to welcome someone with a passion for supporting children to flourish on board their team.

About this role:

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play an important role in delivering the curriculum and enhancing the learning experience of your pupils.

Your responsibilities will include:

-          Planning, preparing and delivering your own lessons each day.

-          Marking and assessing the pupils’ work

-          Giving your pupils the support and guidance they need to fulfil their academic potential and meet their goals (particular focus on SATs in this year group)

-          Managing behaviour in a classroom setting in line with the school’s behaviour policy and safeguarding measures.

-          Creating and sustaining a positive learning environment based on support in which your pupils can thrive.

Requirements for this role:

-          Applicants must have a QTS.

-          An ambitious individual that is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential.

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

-          Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure all children are happy and successful.

-          Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
