Year 6 Teacher

  • Blackburn (BB1)
  • Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8.15am-3.30pm)

The School:

A primary school in Blackburn have contacted Teaching Personnel in order to supply a temporary full-time teacher to work 5 days a week from October 2024 for the rest of the academic year due to a maternity leave. This role is a great opportunity for any experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is looking for their next full time teaching role. The Head Teacher is looking for a committed practitioner who can work collectively with the rest of the staff in school. You must have a track record of raising attainment in Key Stage 2.

The role

The role will include teaching a class of 29 pupils with a high percentage of children not reaching their age-related expectations. The main teaching target would be to prepare the children and to raise their attainment leading up towards their transition into Secondary School. You will need to have good curriculum knowledge and be able to deliver high quality lessons.

So, what are the requirements to apply for this role?

  • QTS qualification or equivalent
  • Key Stage 2 National Curriculum knowledge
  • Recent experience working alongside children in Key Stage 2
  • A hard-working and committed attitude to raising standards in the class room.
  • Full time availability!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
