Job Title: Year 5 Teacher

Location:

East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Northampton

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work full-time hours

£120.00 - £180 per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Year 5
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a primary school

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Proficient in using educational technology
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with Year 5 students
  • Additional training in special educational needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a primary school setting, following the school calendar and term dates. The teacher may be required to participate in extracurricular activities and parent meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
