Job description

A primary schools within Selly Oak are seeking passionate, dedicated Year 4 teachers to join their team. Teaching Personnel is working closely with the school to find a top-quality teacher who is committed, enthusiastic, and ready to make a positive impact on their students' learning journeys. It’s important that you have strong classroom management skills and relevant teaching experience in KS2, specifically Year 4. 

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons for Year 4 pupils
  • Marking and assessing work, providing constructive feedback to support pupil development
  • Monitoring, recording, and reporting on student progress
  • Managing behaviour effectively in the classroom to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Being flexible, proactive, and “getting stuck in” to school activities beyond the classroom

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a QTS or equivalent qualification
  • Be confident in planning, marking, and delivering interactive, engaging lessons aligned with the Year 4 curriculum
  • Have a genuine interest in supporting children's development and learning
  • Demonstrate a committed, professional attitude both in and out of the classroom
  • Possess a clear understanding of the KS2 curriculum, especially for Year 4
  • Have previous UK teaching experience, particularly within Year 4 or similar KS2 roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
