Job description

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working alongside a welcoming primary school in the OL2 area, who are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to start their journey in primary education or a fully qualified teacher seeking a new role in a supportive environment.

This is a full-time position, offering the chance to work in a thriving school community where pupils are eager to learn, and teachers are fully supported.

About the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for a mixed Year 4 class, following the KS2 national curriculum.

  • Use creative and innovative teaching strategies to motivate and inspire all pupils, ensuring that every child makes excellent progress.

  • Support children’s academic, emotional, and social development through targeted support and pastoral care.

  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to maintain high standards across the school.

  • Promote positive behaviour management strategies and maintain high expectations for all pupils.

  • Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, INSET days, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • A passion for primary education, particularly within Key Stage 2.

  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and a positive, proactive approach to teaching.

  • A creative, flexible, and resilient mindset with a strong commitment to raising standards.

  • Recent experience (placements included) in a primary school setting is desirable.

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in children's educational journeys.
