Year 3 Class Teacher

Excellent teaching opportunity from September 2024 in a GOOD school in Blackburn.

Experience required, to work in a Y3 class with 30 children, 3 children with Special Educational Needs.

Newly, Recently and Fully Inducted Teachers are welcome to apply.

A School located near the centre of Blackburn have approached Teaching Personnel to source a Year 3 class teacher to work from September in a full-time position. The Head teacher approached the agency last week, specifying the quality of the teacher they are looking to appoint. The Head teacher also mentioned that, she would be keen to see applicants from Newly Qualified Teachers. Having said this though, she does need to see applications from teachers who do have experience in lower KS2.

The children arrive working below National age-related levels and so the progress by the time the children leave is in line with age related expectations. Behaviour in school can be challenging and so the applying candidates will need to be firm and assertive in the classroom and be able to use a range of behaviour strategies to control and stimulate learning opportunities.

The Head teacher is reasonably new to the role as the Head of school and so she is keen to support any new starters to integrate well with the current team. She will ensure you are well inducted and given the relevant training and policies to follow successfully. The role will be to start from the 3rd  September 2024 and continue until the end of the academic year. There may also be the opportunity to continue into the new academic year by successfully taking up the position through advert.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
