Job Position: Year 2 Teacher

Start Date: September 2025

Daily Pay Rate: £130 - £180 / Day (Dependant on experience)

Location: Wigan, M46

Contract: Full time, Temporary (With an the opportunity to progress to a permanent position)

We are currently looking for a Year 2 Teacher to join an easily accessible school just off the A577 in Atherton with “A positive reputation for embracing and celebrating every kind of achievement.” This primary school is part of a wider group of schools under the leadership of the Education Partnership Trust who “have a vision to create outstanding schools which transform learning, lives and communities”.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Have an enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes the development of social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure all students receive a high standard of education.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child's progress and development.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
