Job description

Job Title: Fully Qualified Teacher (Year 2)
Location: Luton
Start Date: After February Half-Term (or earlier, if possible)
Salary: Paid to Scale
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (or Permanent, depending on the candidate)

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT) to join our school team, teaching a Year 2 class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Year 2 pupils, adhering to the national curriculum
  • Mark and assess pupils’ work regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development
  • Manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the wider school team to ensure consistent and high-quality learning experiences
  • Regular communication with parents/carers regarding pupil progress and concerns
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1), specifically Year 2
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to plan, mark, and assess effectively
  • Passionate about education and nurturing the development of young learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
