Year 1 Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Macclesfield. They are seeking a Year 1 Teacher starting immediately until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for a permanent contract in September. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for the academic and social development of young students. The school is in a great location with excellent transport links between Congleton and Macclesfield.

About the role:

• Opportunity to earn £30k-£40k (dependent on experience)
• Immediate start upon registering with Teaching Personnel, with opportunity for permanent contract in September

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for the planning and delivering of engaging lessons, in-line with the national curriculum. You will work closely with support staff to consistently improve the quality of learning and implement individualised learning plans for students with varying needs. You will also communicate with senior leaders and parents/carers to provide regular updates on the student’s progress. As a crucial member of the school, you will also be involved in the wider community within the school and extracurricular activities.

What we’re looking for:

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience within a primary school is necessary for this role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and other members of staff
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and school behaviour policies
• A passion and enthusiasm for the academic development of young students

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
