Job description

Job Title: Year 1 Teacher - Hartlepool

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £120 - £180 Per Day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to Year 1 students
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school events
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Year 1 students preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate young learners

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time role with flexible hours
  • Temporary position with potential for extension
  • Classroom-based teaching in a primary school setting
