Year 1 Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a creative, dynamic and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join our Key Stage 1 teaching team at a school based in Chester-Le-Street. The school is average sized and have been graded Good in their last Ofsted inspection.

Pupils enjoy coming to school and are happy, school provides a variety of experiences including outdoor learning. It is a forward-thinking and thriving environment with a committed senior leadership team in place.

  • Job share teaching a Year 1 Class of 30 every Morning
  • Afternoons; PPA and Interventions 
  • Long term role, potential to extende beyond summer for the right candidate

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a UK recognised Teaching qualification
  • Strong knowledge on the KS1 curriculum
  • Be a passionate and committed practitioner who is able to quickly adapt to the changing needs of their pupils
  • Be an outstanding, inspirational teacher with an excellent record of classroom practice and high expectations of behaviour and achievement
  • Be a strong team player, able to communicate and contribute effectively within the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
