Are you an experienced and confident teacher with a passion for working with Key Stage 1 children? Our welcoming and vibrant primary school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our team full-time starting in January.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and encouraged.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, participating in events and initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management and pupil engagement.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who is:

  • Fully qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Confident and experienced in teaching Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Skilled in creating engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to upholding the school’s values and ethos.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Key Stage 1 is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver lessons that inspire and engage young learners.
  • A strong understanding of assessment frameworks and strategies for pupil progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
