Year 1 Teacher – needed after Easter holidays
Location:Accrington.
Pay: £110 - £140 per day.
Hours: Full-time: Monday – Friday.
Year Group: Year 1
Start Date:Tuesday 22nd April 2025
Our school aims to inspire our children and have first-hand experiences which can equip them with the knowledge and skills that they need in order to succeed. Our curriculum is designed to allow children to make progress and develop the confidence to discover and explore.
We are seeking a full-time Y1 Teacher to join our team after the Easter holidays. You will need to have had experience in the Year 1 Class before and have an excellent understanding of the Year 1 National Curriculum, age-related expectations and Phonics Screening.
Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with the children so that strong behaviour management can be promoted.
- Build collaborative relationships with SLT, Teaching Assistants and parents.
- Report back to SLT and parents about progress.
- Plan, prepare, deliver and assess children’s learning by identifying gaps, working alongside the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
- Plan and deliver Phonics interventions that will make a positive impact.
- Delegate Teaching Assistants in an effective manner.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience teaching Year 1 children.
- Experience delivering Phonics.
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Excellent Safeguarding knowledge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
