Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant - Special Needs Class Primary School
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Full-time: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Hourly Rate: £12.90

Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere to support the academic and social growth of students with special needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other support professionals to develop and implement effective strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and actively contribute to assessments and reports.
- Foster regular communication with parents/guardians, offering updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with external professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to meet the unique needs of students.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- Demonstrated ability to connect with students with special needs on a personal level.
- Understanding of diverse learning challenges and adeptness in employing varied strategies to foster student development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Exhibit traits of patience, empathy, and composure in challenging situations.
- Proficient in organization, time management, and task prioritization.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
