Position: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Treharris, CF46
Type: Full-Time (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our primary school team in Treharris. In this vital role, you will support students in managing their behaviour and developing positive coping strategies, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in managing their behaviour and cultivating effective coping mechanisms.
- Conduct one-on-one and group mentoring sessions for students exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and external professionals to implement tailored behaviour intervention plans.
- Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to support strategies as necessary.
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience working with students facing behavioural challenges in an educational context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and resilience when managing challenging situations.
- Ability to implement effective behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- A genuine passion for promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
