Job description
Teaching Assistant (SEN) – Full-Time
Location: Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby
Pay: £85 per day (paid weekly)
⏳ Hours: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join primary schools in the Wellingborough, Kettering, and Corby areas. This role is ideal for someone with experience working 1:1 with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a passion for supporting young learners in a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide 1:1 support to SEN pupils, adapting to their individual learning needs
✅ Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the teacher’s guidance
✅ Support emotional and social development, ensuring a positive learning environment
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff
✅ Help manage classroom behavior and encourage engagement
Requirements:
✔️ Previous experience working with SEN children in a primary school setting
✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔️ A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning support
✔️ A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
