Teaching personnel currently have an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a change in career or looking to use their experience to help vulnerable pupils in alternative education. One of our larger partner schools in the Neath Port Talbot area are currently seeking an individual to support vulnerable pupils within a Specialist School environment.
The school are looking for someone who has experience supporting well-being and behavioural needs previously. The pupils have come from an extremely vulnerable background and have multiple trauma-based difficulties that they struggle to cope with on a daily basis. Previously the school has taken a different route with this pupil working alongside the alternative education route, this has proven successful.
A typical day within the school for you will be to work in a group or 1:1 environment to provide tailored assistance to individuals which require specialist support. Prior to conducting your role, you will be required to learn about the children and cater your approach to their individual needs. You will be expected to plan according to the pupil’s needs each week, including the discussion of emotional and educational development.
Due to the complex levels of support these pupils require, the school are looking to continue the successful applicant on a long-term role to ensure consistency and commitment to the school. Therefore, there is a necessity for the successful applicant to be able to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 3:30pm during term time.

- Daily rate £83.85 (As per National Living Wage)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
