Unqualified Teaching Assistant (Learning Support Assistant) – Llantrisant
Location: Llantrisant
⏰ Full-Time & Part-Time Available (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistants to join fantastic SEN schools the in Llantrisant area. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and young people who require additional support in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Assist teachers in providing tailored support to students with additional learning needs.
✅ Offer one-on-one and small-group support during lessons and activities.
✅ Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
✅ Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
✅ Assist with classroom activities and resource preparation.
✅ Encourage students’ independence and confidence.
The School:
Supports children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a variety of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Small class sizes (usually no more than 10 students) ensure personalised support.
Focuses on providing a child-centred, inclusive, and empowering learning environment.
Uses sensory activities, practical lessons, and structured individual development plans.
What We’re Looking For:
No formal qualifications required – experience working with children is preferred.
A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to travel to Llantrisant and be available during school hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
