Are you passionate about education and looking to jumpstart your career in teaching?  Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting enthusiastic Unqualified Teachers/Cover Supervisors to join our educational team working with Secondary Schools in Newport. This position is ideal for individuals who may not have formal teaching qualifications but possess a strong desire to educate and inspire students.

 

As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be overseeing classes when the regular teacher is absent, keeping students focused on their assignments, and fostering a positive and effective learning atmosphere.

 

Location: Newport/surrounding areas

Hours: Flexible

Pay: £100 per day minimum

Start Date: ASAP

 

Successful Candidate Criteria:

-          Deliver prepared lessons while following existing lesson plans.

-          Supervise classes across various subjects and year groups in the absence of regular teaching staff.

-          Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.

-          Adjust approaches and strategies based on the specific needs of different classroom environments.

-           Demonstrate a true passion for education and a dedication to assisting young individuals in their learning journey.

 

Skills and Requirements:

-          While no formal teaching qualifications are required, we prioritise educators who display a high level of enthusiasm, dedication, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

-          Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

-          Experience working with children, preferably within a school environment.

-          DBS and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is needed – Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for these.

-          Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
