We have an amazing opportunity for graduates, unqualified teachers, experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) or Teaching Assistants (TAs) seeking the next step in their education career.
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor on behalf of a secondary school in the Macclesfield area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and supporting pupils whilst embodying the school’s mission- for pupils to ‘aspire not to have more but to be more’, which underpins every aspect of school life.
About the Role-
This well established secondary school in Macclesfield is seeking dedicated support staff to enhance classroom learning and provide essential assistance to students.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 using pre-prepared resources.
- Deliver set work, ensuring students remain on task.
- Manage the classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support students of varying abilities and needs.
- Promote the mission and values of the school daily.
Who We’re Looking For-
- Previous experience working with children in any capacity, including education, youth work, residential care, or similar fields.
- Ability to maintain engagement of a large classroom.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging situations with confidence.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
