Location: Caldicot
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £100 - £120 per day

Are you passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience? Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as an Unqualified Teacher (Cover Supervisor) in a secondary school in Caldicot. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching or looking to develop experience in the education sector.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step in for absent teachers, ensuring students aged 11-16 remain on task and engaged in their learning. While you won’t be required to plan lessons, you will deliver pre-prepared material, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure that behaviour aligns with school policies.

The school is eager to find the right candidate and offers the potential for a permanent contract for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of a teacher
✔️ Deliver pre-set lesson plans and keep students focused on their work
✔️ Foster a positive and productive classroom environment
✔️ Ensure student behaviour aligns with school policies
✔️ Provide support and guidance to students as needed
✔️ Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents when required

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
Ability to provide two recent references
Right to work in the UK
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (or willingness to register)
Up-to-date safeguarding training (provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
