Are you looking to get into teaching? Do you want to get experience of working with students but are unsure where to start?  

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Unqualified Cover Teachers to work on a daily basis for both short and long term positions. This can provide flexibility to your new Cover Teaching role as several partnered secondary schools in the Southend/Rayleigh - surrounding areas are currently recruiting on a part-time/full-time basis. Cover Teachers are always in high demand and you can choose the work that suits you.

As you will be occupied with several schools, you will be working on an ad-hoc basis where we will contact you prior to your appointment of the potential school. This can allow you to choose when and where to work, enabling you full flexibility of the full-time/ part-time cover supervisor role.

Schools are increasingly relying on more Cover Teachers as a way to cover the teacher's absence. The role of a Cover Teacher is to supervise and manage a classroom in the absence of a class teacher. As a Cover Teacher you will ensure pre-prepared class work is complete and to manage students behaviour in accordance with school guidelines.

We are keen to hear from graduate candidates or candidates with behavioural management experience and a keen interest in working within Secondary Schools. You must be confident of your abilities within a classroom based environment and have the ability to build relationships with pupils and the other staff members.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
