Teach, Inspire, Empower | Become a Local Tutor in BCP with TP Tutors

Are you based in Bournemouth, Christchurch, or Poole and passionate about helping young people succeed?

Whether you’re supporting a child to grasp tricky topics or providing consistent 1:1 support for learners with additional needs, you can make a real difference with TP Tutors.

We’re expanding our friendly, values-led team across the BCP area and are looking for flexible, committed individuals with experience in education, youth work or tutoring to deliver personalised support in Maths, English, or general core subjects.

Role: Local Tutor (with SEN/SEND Support Opportunities)

Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole (Online or In-Person)
Type: Part-Time or Full-Time – Flexible to suit your lifestyle

About TP Tutors

TP Tutors partners with schools and families to provide meaningful academic support to students who are falling behind or need tailored 1:1 help. Many of our learners have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), so we’re especially keen to hear from tutors who are open to, or experienced in, working with SEND learners.

You’ll work locally across BCP, either delivering in-person sessions at homes, schools or alternative provisions—or supporting learners online.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging, personalised tuition in Maths, English, or core subjects

  • Support learners 1:1 or in small groups, including those with SEND

  • Tailor lessons to each student’s goals, pace, and learning style

  • Foster a calm, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment

  • Track progress and communicate with families and schools where needed

Who We’re Looking For

  • People with experience in education: tutors, TAs, mentors, unqualified teachers, or support staff

  • Confident in supporting primary or secondary-aged learners

  • Open to working with SEND learners

  • Based in the BCP area, and able to travel locally or tutor online

  • Positive, flexible communicators who are passionate about helping young people succeed

✅ You don’t need to be a qualified teacher—but relevant experience is essential.

What You’ll Get

  • Flexible working hours that fit your lifestyle

  • Competitive pay rates that reflect your skills and experience

  • SEND training and ongoing CPD opportunities

  • A chance to make real, lasting impact in your local community

  • A welcoming, supportive team that values your contribution
