Part-Time SEN Tutor - Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per Hour

Job Description:
We are looking for passionate and experienced tutors to join our team! This temporary, part-time position offers the opportunity to work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will focus on delivering tailored tuition in Maths, English, and Science for around 10-15 hours per week. The role requires patience, understanding, and the ability to create an encouraging learning environment for each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in Maths, English, and Science to students with SEN
  • Develop personalized learning plans and resources to suit individual student needs
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and relevant professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in Education or a related field
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Degree in Education, Special Education, or related subject
  • Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience
  • Solid understanding of the UK education system
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual learning needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Experience with assistive technology in the classroom
  • Background in working with students who have specific learning difficulties

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours: 10-15 hours per week
  • Temporary position with potential for extension
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate student schedules

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
