Job Title: Trainee Teaching Assistant

Wage: £83.85 per day

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday

Location: Abergavenny

Start Date: March 2025

A successful Teaching Assistant will ideally have previous experience working with children inside or outside of a school environment. Other examples outside of a classroom are: playscheme, fostering, babysitting, sports coaching, nursery work, residential homes etc. A successful Trainee Teaching Assistant will be adaptable and passionate toward their craft, as well as effectively work alongside pupils with Additional Learning Needs.

To work in a school, you must:

• Have an enhanced DBS Child workforce only on the update service.
• Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), we can help with this process.
• Have the right to work in the UK (Passport/Birth Certificate).
• Provide a proof of ID and Address.
• Possess a valid overseas clearance if you’ve been abroad for longer than 6 months in the last 5 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
