Trainee Teaching Assistant – Full-time (Rhondda Valley, Pentre & Tonypandy)
Hourly Rate: £12.90 - £14 per hour

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Rhondda area, covering Rhondda Valley, Pentre, and Tonypandy. This full-time role starts immediately and will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential for further training and a long-term career in education. About the Role:
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:
✅ Support students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), such as Autism and ADHD
✅ Assist in managing challenging behaviours
✅ Help students engage with learning tasks and provide reading support
✅ Work closely with teachers to offer tailored support in the classroom
✅ Provide small-group and one-to-one support for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students

Who Can Apply?
You don’t need prior experience as a Teaching Assistant! We’re looking for individuals who have:
✔ A background in care, support work, or sports coaching with children (highly desirable)
✔ Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring nature
✔ A genuine passion for supporting students and making a difference
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) preferred
Enhanced DBS check (must be registered on the Update Service)
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
A commitment to helping young learners thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
