Teaching Assistants x2
Job description
Primary School Teaching Assistants Needed in Cardiff – Starting January 2025
We are currently seeking 2 full-time Teaching Assistants to support the development of young learners in a Primary School in Cardiff. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or experienced professionals looking to begin or continue their careers in education.
As a company, we have successfully worked with this school in the past to provide exceptional staff, and they now require our assistance in appointing two full-time Teaching Assistants to join their team.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed as a Teaching Assistant, the right attitude is essential. You must be resilient, patient, and positive, as each day may bring unique challenges. The school is looking for individuals who are able to build strong relationships with pupils while supporting them across a range of lessons.
If you have previous experience working with children aged 4–11—whether through coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or any other role supporting young people—we’d love to hear from you!
You may often work with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), so having a caring and supportive personality is essential. While expertise in ALN is not required, the willingness to learn and adapt to best support the children is a key quality.
What the School and Teaching Personnel Are Looking For:
- Individuals with a caring and supportive nature.
- Previous experience working with young people.
- A minimum of GCSE C+ in Maths and English (degree-level education is desirable).
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday).
- Ability to easily travel to a Cardiff school (having your own car is desirable).
What’s on Offer:
- Pay starting at £83 per day.
- An opportunity to work in a supportive and welcoming environment.
If you are seeking a full-time position in January 2025, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
