Specialist SEN Teacher & Teaching Assistant Positions – Norwich SEN Team

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with children who have Additional Learning Needs and thrive in both teaching and support roles? If you're ready to inspire and nurture young learners in specialist settings, we want to hear from you!

The Teaching Personnel Norwich SEN team is looking for both Specialist SEN Teachers and Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team, working with students with Autism and other SEN requirements across North Norfolk.

Your Role

As part of our SEN team, you will:

  • Design and deliver creative lessons that capture the interest of students with diverse abilities.
  • Provide tailored support, whether adapting teaching strategies or implementing specific interventions, to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including support staff, to offer a holistic approach to each student’s development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment, promoting both academic and personal growth.
  • Implement and adhere to Education, Health, and Care Plans (ECHP) while supporting individual development in personal, social, intellectual, and physical aspects.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have experience supporting or teaching students with Autism and other SEN.
  • Are adaptable, compassionate, and able to thrive in challenging situations.
  • Are confident in managing behaviours and ensuring that each student’s learning experience is positive and meaningful.
  • For Teaching Assistant roles: Previous experience in a support role is preferred but not required.
  • For Teaching roles: Whether you’re a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT), we encourage you to apply!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
