Primary Teaching Assistant - Exeter Area

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream schools across Exeter, helping students with special educational needs access the curriculum and thrive. With flexible part-time and full-time positions available and an immediate start, this role is ideal for someone looking to support young learners while maintaining a work schedule that fits around their diary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and engage fully in school life.
- Work closely with class teachers to implement tailored support plans and address individual needs.
- Foster the development of students' social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
