Teaching Assistants – Primary Schools (Yeovil Area)

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive in their education? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work with primary schools in the Yeovil area. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to support students in a range of activities, both in and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lessons, helping with classroom management, providing one-to-one support for students who need extra help, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Assist with planning and delivering educational activities.
- Support children with additional learning needs.
- Foster a positive, nurturing environment for students to thrive in.
- Help with classroom management and ensure the safety of all students.

Ideal Candidates Will:
- Have experience working with children in a school setting (or be willing to undertake relevant training).
- Be patient, empathetic, and committed to making a difference in students' lives.
- Hold a DBS certificate (we can assist with the application if necessary).
- Have a good understanding of the primary school curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
