Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Assistant required at a supportive and inclusive school located in Yeovil, Somerset. We provide a high-quality education for students who may require additional support to thrive academically and personally. Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to create a safe, engaging, and inspiring learning experience for our students.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students in their learning and personal development, ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet individual needs.

Work closely with other professionals, including therapists and support staff, to implement strategies that promote student progress.

Encourage communication, independence, and confidence in students.

Support students with emotional regulation and behavioural challenges
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with experience in educational settings or those looking to begin a rewarding career in education. Ideal candidates will have:

A compassionate and patient approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, specifically mental health related.

A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our students.

Full time availability (08:30 - 16:30, Monday - Friday, term time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
