Teaching Assistant

The Role:

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will collaborate closely with the class teacher to support the teaching and learning process across various subjects. Your focus will be on providing personalized support to individual students and small groups. You will assist in lesson planning and delivery, help create an engaging classroom environment, and ensure that every student progresses according to their potential. The school’s dedicated team works together to create a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. They are seeking an experienced and passionate HLTA to join their team and help support their wonderful students. The role is set to begin after Easter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist class teachers in delivering lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and continue to make progress.
• Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to classroom management, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Support students' emotional and pastoral needs.
• Help with administrative tasks such as preparing resources and monitoring student progress.
• Offer specific interventions for children with additional needs when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with parents, teachers, and staff members.
