Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a general teaching assistant to work across year groups on a full-time basis. The hours will be 8.30am – 3.30pm. The school have fantastic feedback and offer a positive, supportive working environment. The successful will be supporting learning and contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities.

Hours: 5 days a week  

Start Date: April

The Applicant:

• Level 2/3 teaching assistant or relevant teaching assistant experience.
• Will have relevant SEN experience within an education setting or within care work
• Knowledge and experience of primary curriculum
• Be well versed in behaviour management strategies.
• Be nurturing and caring.
• Must be flexible to work with other staff.
• Will have excellent communication skills (non-verbal skills desired but not essential).

Responsibilities:

• Working as general Teaching assistant
• Working 1-1 helping to reach appropriate, related targets.
• Leading small group sessions promoting key skills needed within general lessons.
• Assisting within the classroom behaviour where needed.
• Communicating effectively with parents and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
