About the role and school

Are you a experienced Teaching Assistant based in Liverpool or the surrounding areas looking for a new role/school in September? Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit numerous Teaching Assistants within the Liverpool area who will be ready for full time work in September 2024. This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants who are committed to supporting both students in both mainstream schools and also those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to struggling students and also those with SEN.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies in order to benefit the students.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment whilst supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility support if necessary.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS cleared & uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant is desired but not essential, all applicants of different levels are welcomed.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (if applying for SEN role)
  • Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to supporting those with SEN.
