Teaching Personnel are currently taking applications to recruit for a number of Teaching Assistant roles at across our partner secondary schools in the Wigan area.
Experienced Teaching Assistants, Graduates, and those with no prior experience are to be considered with opportunities to suit all.

Who should apply for this role?
- Graduates that are looking to build their experience within a supportive secondary school ahead of pursuing a career as a classroom teacher or specialist support staff member.
- Experienced Teaching Assistants, wishing to utilise their skillset and expertise in a full-time capacity in a role that offers potential to earn a permanent contract later in the year.
- Those with limited experience but seeking a new opportunity.
What will the role involve?
- Providing support to the class teacher – Helping the teacher maintain control of student behaviour.
- Working alongside students in class ensuring they are able to complete the work set by the class teacher and supporting them where necessary.
- Working alongside pupils on a 1:1 basis, in and out of class to better the outcomes for each student.
- Providing support to groups of identified students who may require additional support to achieve their target grades.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
