Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant required for an Outstanding all-age (3-19 years) special needs school dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for pupils with a wide range of complex learning difficulties. Their mission is to be "A special place for everyone to learn, achieve and be valued." 

Role Overview:

They are seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join their friendly team. The successful candidates will work closely with teachers to support pupils with various complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans.

• Support pupils' personal and educational development.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support.

• Provide personal care where required 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A compassionate and patient approach to supporting learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
