Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our partnership SEMH/PRU provisions across the South Manchester area.
The school caters for children and young people who have been excluded from mainstream settings and need a specialist provision to achieve their learning goals.
In this role as a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in creative and engaging lessons.
- Act as a good role model for students and encourage expected behaviour.
- Promote independence of pupils and encourage them to reach their full potential.
- Support in the assessment of pupils learning and development.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working in a Pupil referral unit or with children with SEMH needs (Desirable)
- Adaptability and flexibility within their role to different situations or needs.
- Lots of patience and good de-escalation techniques
- Full time availability within school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
